Signet Creative ISDN 

Signet Creative's ISDN unit is a Musicam USA® Road Runner™, compatible with just about any ISDN unit out there including all CDQ® Models (such as the CDQ® Prima™), the Telos® Zephyr™, and others.

We are capable of ISDN connections that include all MPEG Layer II or MPEG Layer III Bit Rates of 56, 64, 112, and 128 and Sample Rates of 24, 32 or 48 kHz. (We also can handle G.722.) Signal is Mono, over either one or two dial-up connections (or "B-Channels"). 

Audio quality is 20 Hz to 20 kHz audio with greater than 84 dB SNR when 2 ISDN 'B' channels are used. When only a single 'B' channel is used, 15 kHz can be achieved.

As with any other ISDN unit, access to the 3D2® system (or other providers) is possible with that company’s just establishing a quick connection at their central office, according to their fee schedule.  

Our ISDN is usually included with studio time at no additional charge, as outlined below.

Use of ISDN Unit in a session utilizing Signet Creative talent is included with the recording session talent fee at no extra charge, whenever B-channels are dialed-up from another location. When using talent other than Signet Creative people, or when utilizing the system for editing and mixing, the regular studio time rates apply with no additional charge for ISDN use except dial-up charges from Signet Creative shown below. When dial-up ISDN connections are initiated from Signet Creative, the charges are as follows, based on distance and the number of B-Channels (Dial-up Numbers) used. There is a minimum 15-Minute Charge for initiating the connection, then all is based on the connection time: Local (248 Area Code): 1 B-Channel $ 1.00/Minute, 2 B-Channels $ 2.00/Minute, Long Distance (USA Only-Flat): 1 B-Channel $ 2.00/Minute, 2 B-Channels $ 3.00/Minute.
